East Riding
It has been our long-term ambition to build upon 21 years of best practice and expand our work into the East Riding of Yorkshire, working in schools in areas of coastal and rural isolation. This was made possible in September 2016 due to the kind support of the British Foreign Schools Society and the Big Lottery Awards for All.
The following eight primary schools were part of the expansion of Children’s University in the East Riding of Yorkshire, who took part in 43 experiences, engaging 1,097 children in the 2016/17 academic year.
Bay Primary School, Bridlington
Burlington Junior School, Bridlington
Easington CE Primary Academy
Hilderthorpe Primary School, Bridlington
Hornsea Burton Primary School
New Pasture Lane Primary School, Bridlington
Quay Academy, Bridlington
Withernsea Primary School
Additional outreach work also took place at Harland House, SEN(B) Unit and St Anne’s School and Sixth Form College.
We are now working with additional schools in Goole and Beverley.
We are passionate about our work and are determined to build upon these early foundations strengthening links with the above schools, to ensure local children strive and succeed in the future and make what seems the ‘unbelievable’ ‘achievable’ for many of them.
We would like to thank the following organisations who have supported the expansion of our work in the East Riding of Yorkshire:
Andrew Marr International
Bridlington Spa
Bridlington Lions’ Ladies’
East Riding College
East Riding of Yorkshire Council
Howden Rotary Club
Hull & East Riding Charitable Trust

Joseph and Annie Cattle Trust
