On your marks and get set for a great way to raise money for Hull Children’s University! The popular Hull 10K run is coming up on Sunday 14th June and we are looking for supporters to run for our charity. Whether you enter as a team or as an individual, your sponsorship money will help hundreds of local children have life-impacting experiences that they would otherwise never have. Go on! Challenge yourself and give it a go!
Sign up through Hull Children’s University and pay just £20 to enter, rather than the £25.82 charged for general entries. Plus, 100% of your registration fee will go straight to Hull Children’s University which is not the case for general entries. All that we ask is that you raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship money.
To sign up for the Hull 10K and make a real difference to disadvantaged children in Hull please email email@example.com.
You will then be allocated a Charity Pin which you will need in order to sign up on the Runforall website. Payment for your place can be made via cheque or via our Justgiving page.
We are also looking for volunteer Route Marshalls for the day. Please let us know if you are available.
Currently over 16,000 children in our city are living in poverty and these children may not have access to the opportunities that other children mayreceive. Many of these children have never left Hull and some have never even ventured into the city centre. We strongly believe that ALL children should get to see beyond the end of their street and experience the world around them. We strive to help children believe that they can achieve their dreams and we give them the confidence to try. We believe that every child is intelligent in different ways; they just need to opportunity to discover their hidden talents and ignite their aspirations for the future.
We provide learning experiences for children who would otherwise never get a chance to take part in them. Being an inclusive organisation, we take full classes of children on our experiences and we are proud to say that we are currently working with over 80% of the primary schools in the city and 30% of secondary schools. Whether it is a trip to London to have a sleepover under the dinosaurs in the Natural History Museum or if it is visiting a local business to learn about that industry, all of our children leave these experiences happy, excited and with new aspirations that they will hopefully carry with them into adulthood. We aim to put the fire into their bellies that will help them to succeed!
