A Spooktacular Half Term Break!

Welton Waters

The children enjoyed their time at Welton Waters. The young people worked hard during team building activities and finished their day in the water, having lots of fun! We love visiting Welton Waters.

Pumpkin Patch and Cook Stars

On Tuesday, the children headed to the pumpkin patch. The group had a morning of pumpkin picking, exploring the maze, finding corn and learning all about how honey is made. We now have some experts in bee keeping! We searched high and low for the mysterious blue pumpkin, which left us questioning if they really exist…

It was an extremely muddy morning, but that didn’t stop the fun!

In the afternoon, we then moved onto Cook Stars. We made some fangtastic treats! We loved our delicious vampire cookies and ghoulish wrap pizzas.

Maker Space

Wow! We had so much fun at Maker Space! We transformed our own personalised Halloween inspired skeletons from bags of bones into fully movable figures. Assembling the bones and inserting the fixings, then decorating them to make them superbly spooky. We then laid them in our own laser made coffins – one young person even made a pillow and a blanket for their skeleton; it was very cosy.

We then made some spooky t-shirts and bags, and we were so proud of the finished products, the children carefully decorated and made their creative ideas come to life.

We cannot wait for our Christmas experience!

Edinburgh

We had a wonderful overnight experience exploring Edinburgh, which included: a visit to Dynamic Earth, Camera Obscura and a stay at St Columbas Church - all whilst enjoying the fantastic sights of Edinburgh.

Rewilding

We had an exciting and immersive wild experience at Rewilding. We enjoyed activities such as fire-lighting; whittling; learning about the stone age and playing pumpkin bowling! Rewilding is led by the interests of the group and the children enjoyed the relaxed, creative and fun nature of the day.
