Hull and East Yorkshire Children's University is delighted to announce that KCOM has become an official Platinum Partner, marking a new chapter in a partnership that has helped inspire local children and young people for over a decade.
The enhanced commitment comes during a landmark year for both organisations. While Hull and East Yorkshire Children's University celebrates its 30th anniversary, KCOM is marking 10 years of supporting the charity's work as an official partner.
For the past decade, KCOM has played an important role in helping Hull and East Yorkshire Children's University create opportunities for children and young people to learn beyond the classroom, discover new interests and raise their aspirations. By becoming a Platinum Partner, KCOM is demonstrating its commitment to investing in the future of the communities it has served for more than 120 years.
Hull and East Yorkshire Children's University has spent the last 30 years championing the power of enrichment and lifelong learning, enabling thousands of children across the region to access activities and experiences that build confidence, develop skills and broaden horizons.
Rose James, Chief Executive of Hull and East Yorkshire Children's University, said:
"We are incredibly grateful to KCOM for becoming a Platinum Partner in our 30th anniversary year. KCOM has been a valued partner for the past 10 years, and this enhanced commitment demonstrates a genuine belief in the importance of helping children and young people reach their full potential.
As a charity, our partnerships enable us to continue providing life-changing opportunities for children across Hull and East Yorkshire. We are proud to have KCOM alongside us as we celebrate 30 years and look ahead to what we can acheive in the future"
The long-standing partnership between KCOM and HEY CU has helped us to achieve many things over the past decade- we have introduced 3 new experinces that take place in the KCOM Learning Zone, we were gifted a telephone box that we designed around our Ambassadors of Hull experience, we have delivered safer internet education to hundreds of local children and, together, we have brought the magic of christmas to those most in need.
Louise Babych, Community Impact Partner at KCOM said:
"Becoming a Platinum Partner of HEY Children's University is a proud moment for KCOM and reflects the importance we place on working with local charities, creating long-term partnerships within our community. For more than 10 years, we’ve worked alongside the charity to support its inspiring mission of igniting dreams for underprivileged children. It was great to celebrate today’s milestone with our KCOM staff and wish the charity a very happy 30th anniversary.”
