The Year 9 Step Up Move On group was recently invited to Northern Films to experience a VIP tour and a whistle stop lesson on how to make a mini documentary (Watch this space for more information on this).
One young person had a dream come true when he had the opportunity to play on a Steinway grand piano and he entertained us throughout the wonderful lunch that had also been provided by Northern Films. The children all discovered the multitude of different careers available in the film industry and thoroughly enjoyed their taster day!
Learning about respect and kindness with the RSPCA our Step Up Move On year 7 group recently visited the branch in Hull.
The staff made us all feel very welcome and provided a super, informative visit. The children learned all about the history of the RSPCA, participated in a marketing workshop and learned about different career opportunities working with animals. They even learned how to do health checks on their pets at home. Of course there was plenty of time for fun and cuddles too – and Bear was definitely the star of the show.
