HEYCU Dance

BEGINNER

Our HEYCU Dance! workshops are delivered in school across four consecutive weeks. Devising, making and creating through a series of workshops, children will learn key skills in the craft of dance, leading to a final performance of work for peers, parents, staff and stakeholders.

Ambassadors of Hull

Y3-6
INTERMEDIATE

This popular learning experience gives children the opportunity to learn about the city of Hull and its history, including Hull’s historic and current ambassadors. Children will complete research, question the public and hopefully leave with a sense of pride for the city, whether they’re originally from Hull or not.

Ambassadors of Bridlington

Y3-6
INTERMEDIATE

This learning experience gives children the opportunity to learn about the town of Bridlington and the things on offer to residents and visitors. Children will question the public, before embarking on a journey to become ambassadors of Bridlington themselves, persuading people to visit this seaside town.

Trawling from Hull

Y3-6
INTERMEDIATE

This learning experience brings Hull’s trawling history to life, showing children how Hull today is shaped by its fishing heritage. They will take part in a range of engaging activities, share their knowledge with members of the public in supervised groups and complete an informative guided walking tour of the city centre and its historical links.

Blitz in Hull

Y3-6
INTERMEDIATE

This learning experience places that ‘North East Coastal Town’ in the spotlight. Children will understand how the Blitz shaped the city of Hull through engaging tasks and a guided walking tour, considering whether enough is done to remember the events of the early 1940s.
